— Why Personalised Care

A gut is not a category.
It is an ecosystem.

The same symptom rarely has the same cause

Two people presenting with identical bloating may need entirely opposite protocols — one needs to reduce fermentable substrate, the other needs to rebuild diversity. Generic programs miss this. Trained clinicians notice it on intake.

Real progress requires adjustment

Gut recovery is non-linear. Foods that helped in week two can become triggers in week six as the microbiome shifts. A static protocol cannot follow that arc. A clinician reading your weekly tracking can.

Pattern recognition takes years

Software can score your responses; only an experienced clinician can recognise the post-infectious motility damage hiding behind a stress-reactive presentation. Decades of clinical pattern recognition can't be replicated in code.

Accountability is the unseen ingredient

Knowing your protocol is one thing; sustaining it through travel, deadlines and family demands is another. PURO assigns you a clinician who sees your data, asks the right questions, and keeps the plan in motion.

— The PURO Principle

"We treat the person who has the gut, not the gut that has the person. Your protocol changes when your data changes, and we are reading your data every week."

— Programme Architecture

What every PURO programme includes

The framework that sits behind every tier. Tier choice changes who delivers it, not what is delivered.

Comprehensive Clinical Intake

90-minute structured intake covering symptom history, prior diagnostic workup, family history, lifestyle, hormonal context, mental-health load, and medication review. Existing lab reports are reviewed pre-session.

Custom Protocol Design

Your protocol is built from the GutIQ pattern framework but engineered to your specific constellation — primary pattern, overlays, hormonal phase, occupation, travel pattern, family context.

Continuous Outcome Tracking

Daily symptom + Bristol logging via the GutIQ dashboard. Clinical team reviews trends weekly and surfaces patterns you would miss in the day-to-day noise.

Recurring Clinical Reviews

Scheduled video consultations on a cadence that fits your stage of recovery — weekly during the build phase, biweekly through stabilisation, monthly thereafter. Every review carries a written summary.

Lab Coordination & Interpretation

When indicated, we coordinate stool microbiome panels, breath testing, micronutrient assays and bloodwork through partnered laboratories — and translate the results in plain language at your next review.

Between-Session Support

Secure messaging with your clinical team for flare windows, travel adjustments, supplement questions, and rapid course-correction. Response windows vary by tier.

— The Clinical Engine

The same framework that powers GutIQ —
now delivered one to one.

PURO does not exist in parallel to the GutIQ research. It is the same evidence base, the same pattern system, the same 25,000-cohort validation — operationalised by experienced clinicians instead of an algorithm.

12

Primary patterns

Slow Transit, Fast Transit, Fermentation Sensitive, Stress-Reactive, Visceral Sensitivity, Fat/Bile Sensitive — your clinician identifies yours and which overlays modify it.

7

Modulating overlays

Gas-Dominant, Immune-Reactive, Motility-Impaired, Gut-Brain Dominant, Environmental, Hormonal-Cycle Reactive, Variable Pattern — each demands a specific tactical adjustment.

30+

Source citations per protocol

PubMed, Cochrane, AGA/ACG guidelines, Rome IV, Monash FODMAP, NICE — every recommendation in your plan has its citation footnote and grade of evidence.

— Tiers of Care

Three programmes. One standard of care.

Choose the level of clinical depth your case requires. Every tier is built on the same evidence base; what differs is who delivers it, with what cadence, and with what depth of escalation.

— How it works

From enquiry to your first protocol

1

Submit a confidential enquiry

Use the form below. We ask a handful of clinical-context questions so the first call is genuinely useful, not just a sales conversation. All information is held in confidence and never shared outside the clinical team.

2

Programme matching call (complimentary)

A 20-minute call with our intake clinician. They review your context, explain which tier suits your case, answer your questions honestly, and tell you if we are not the right fit. We turn cases away when we cannot add value.

3

Comprehensive intake

A structured 90- to 120-minute clinical session with the consultant assigned to your case. Prior labs are reviewed in advance; we ask the questions a hurried 15-minute GP appointment never has time for.

4

Custom protocol & first 90-day map

Within 5 working days you receive a written protocol — food strategy, supplements, lifestyle architecture, lab orders if relevant, and a week-by-week 90-day map. We start the dashboard tracking and your first review is scheduled.

5

Continuous adjustment

Your protocol changes when your data changes. We read your tracking weekly, adjust dosing and food strategy at every review, and escalate to the Lead Consultant when the case needs another set of eyes. The plan moves with you, not against you.

— Frequently asked

Questions we hear often

How is PURO different from seeing a regular gastroenterologist?

A standard gastroenterology appointment is built for diagnosis and acute management — typically 15–20 minutes, infrequent follow-ups, and limited time for the lifestyle, dietary, behavioural and longitudinal work that gut recovery actually requires. PURO is the continuity layer: the same evidence-based framework, but delivered with the time and cadence a complex ecosystem deserves. We coordinate with your existing GI specialist when one is in the picture.

How is this different from using the free GutIQ assessment?

The GutIQ assessment and report do an excellent job of identifying which patterns you fit and pointing at the evidence-based starting moves. For straightforward cases that is all you need. PURO is for cases where the constellation is complex (multiple overlays, comorbidities, hormonal factors), the symptoms are severe, the case has resisted prior intervention, or the person simply wants direct human guidance with accountability built in.

What is the typical commitment?

Most PURO programmes run as 3- or 6-month engagements; PURO Reserve runs on a 12-month minimum. Within that window, expect roughly 60–90 minutes of clinical contact every week or two for the first phase, declining as the protocol stabilises. Daily tracking takes under 90 seconds.

How long until I see meaningful change?

First-noticeable shifts typically appear within 10–14 days of protocol start. Substantial change — measurable reduction in symptom severity across multiple axes — usually lands between weeks 6 and 12 in our cohort. The trajectory is non-linear by nature; that is exactly why the continuous monitoring matters.

Will you tell me if PURO is not right for me?

Yes. The matching call exists for that reason. If a case needs urgent structural workup, surgical referral, an inflammatory-bowel-disease specialist, or simply a different kind of intervention than we offer — we say so on the first call, with a referral pathway. We do not enroll cases we cannot help.

Is PURO delivered in person or remotely?

Predominantly remote via secure video, with in-person sessions available at our clinical partners where geography allows. The tracking infrastructure and the case-review cadence are what produce the outcomes; geography rarely changes that.
